Below my race report from the Colonia Cost Marathon 2020, Uruguay, the first race of four in the Southern Hemisphere Challenge 2020 series. The race became my first marathon in South America, thus earning continent no. 5 and country no. 51. It was a busy day with travel from and back to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and with shifting weather during the race, ie. starting out with rain and thunder and ending up with lovely sunshine and very warm conditions indeed. Colonia del Sacremento seems to be a quite and soothing place for sure and it was a real treat to run by the waters of the Rio de la Plata.
